A funding boost from the federal government’s $10 billion housing fund is set to trigger the construction of 515 social and affordable homes in Western Australia. 

Federal Housing Minister Clare O’Neil tonight announced that the WA government would receive funding via the latest round of the Housing Australia Future Fund. 

This will enable the delivery of 515 new homes for vulnerable Western Australians. 

“Every one of these new homes represents hope for a family in Western Australia doing it tough,” Ms O’Neil said. 

WA Housing and Works Minister John Carey said the HAFF added to the state government’s record $5.8 billion investment in housing and homelessness measures.

“Since 2021, we have added more than 3,300 social homes,” he said.
