Program Summary

UDIA WA’s Outlook Mentoring Program is designed to support early-career professionals confidentially developer their career.

Through personalised guidance, industry connections, and structured development, mentees will build confidence, enhance their professional skills, and gain the clarity to shape a successful career in urban development.

Who Should Attend?

Early-career professionals working for UDIA WA member organisations who are:

  • trainees, graduates, or other new professionals with up to four years’ experience
  • in technical, non-technical or support roles
  • aspiring to have a successful career associated with the property industry

Program Structure

This structured mentoring program will be for a duration of eight months, and mentees benefit from:

  • Personal development planning – This includes a mentee guide and templates, 360 survey feedback, DISC profiling and SWOT analysis.
  • Cohort sessions – including a Meet and Greet (which involves an introduction to mentoring, DISC debrief and peer networking).
  • One-on-One mentoring – Five mentoring sessions, paired with an experienced industry professional (graduates of UDIA WA’s Emerging Leaders Program, Outlook Committee members, others)
  • Networking – Opportunity to attend UDIA WA Outlook Committee meetings and an Outlook event, and to meet with a member of UDIA WA Leadership Team and/or UDIA WA Council.
  • Industry exposure and visibility – Promotion through UDIA WA communications channels.
  • Reflection session – Opportunity to participate with your peers in an end of program session focusing on reflecting on and embedding learnings to inform and support forward development planning.

Throughout the Program, the mentees will also have the support of UDIA WA’s Industry Education Officer, a highly experienced learning and development professional.
