The rise of quality infill was evident at the annual excellence awards for the Urban Development Institute of Australia.

The weekend awards showed more than half of the awards — eight of the 13 project categories — were won by projects delivered in existing areas.

Outstanding infill projects were recognised in the form of townhouse developments, family homes, seniors living accommodation and commercial developments.
