The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA WA) Awards for Excellence were held over the weekend, with a broad spectrum of development projects in WA ranging from new land estates to apartments to industrial sites and community hubs were recognised.

The change in homes and lifestyles were evident in the entries received for this year.

“We received a high number of entries this year from medium and high-density projects that are changing the face of metropolitan Perth and providing a greater diversity and quality of choice than ever before for new home buyers,” said UDIA WA CEO Tanya Steinbeck.

The switch to, and embracing of higher density living in more established areas is a “… trend [that] is only set to grow.”
