The booming land sales market is defying logic, with demand skyrocketing while prices remain stagnant.

New figures from the Urban Development Institute of WA show land sales grew 15 per cent in the December quarter, but prices were relatively stable with a one per cent increase in 2021.

UDIA WA chief executive Tanya Steinbeck said the average price of a block of land in the Perth metropolitan area in December was $243,236.
