The state government is pushing ahead with implementing an expedited planning pathway.

One of the state government’s top priorities in early 2020 when COVID-19 arrived in Australia was safeguarding the economy.

Among the key measures identified to achieve this outcome was the acceleration of proposed planning reforms, including a new development application process to expedite projects and create a pipeline of major commercial, tourism and residential construction to sustain building activity.
