Planning for Development

2018 was set to be a big year for planning in WA with many changes being considered. UDIA waspleased to present the Development Industry with the first opportunity to hear direct from the people leading the changes, Gail McGowan (Director General of the Department of Planning; Lands and Heritage) and Evan Jones (Principal, Planning System Review) about what is in store, including:

– how the revamped Department will create more certainty for industry and cut red tape
– the priority planning policy and program issues that will be addressed
– the objectives of the independent review of the planning system and how they will be progressed
– how strategic planning can become the cornerstone of all planning decisions
