As the recipient of the 2017 UDIA Young Development Professional Award, I have had the rare opportunity to become actively immersed within the urban development industry. This award has provided the platform to develop my professional and personal skills, extend networks and enhance my education, knowledge and application to the industry. This has been a result of the exclusive invitation to attend a vast range of UDIA events and forums, the completion of the Professional Development Program and access to a range of skill growth based courses.
One of the most rewarding experiences to date has been the chance to sit as a member on the UDIA Outlook Committee. To meet and work closely with forward thinking young professionals has been an invaluable experience. The committee is a representation of key talent and future leaders of the industry.
This award has allowed me to grow personally and professionally, which has resulted in progression and participation within UDIA and other industry body events, panels and mentoring roles.
The recipient of the 2018 UDIA Young Development Professional Award will receive a prize package worth approximately $9,500. Including a cheque of $2,000, access to the full UDIA Professional Development Program in 2019, attendance to a range of UDIA Forums, Luncheons, Outlook events and Breakfasts and will have the opportunity to become a member of the UDIA Outlook Committee.
