The annual UDIA WA & Frasers Property Women in Leadership Award acknowledges and promotes the positive contribution of women working in mid to senior levels across all disciplines of the WA property development industry. It is a prestigious award and is an important aspect of encouraging diversity in the industry.
I was greatly humbled and honoured to receive the 2017 Women in Leadership Award. There was a high calibre of finalists and I felt privileged to be considered amongst them. One of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences was getting to know the other finalists, learning about the projects they are working on, exciting opportunities and challenges they are overcoming within the industry.
Winning this award has also provided a platform to further raise my profile and personal brand in the property and development industry. It has created the opportunity for me to reconnect with clients past and present as well as meet new peers and expand my professional network.
This year I have been asked to present at, and participate in panel discussions for, a leading financial institution and a planning consultancy practice on leadership and diversity. The award has provided me the opportunity to have a bigger voice as a leader and to continue to be a role model for younger women in the industry.
