Building approvals in WA have gone against the national grain, largely thanks to a significant uptick in multi-dwelling unit approvals in the state.
National seasonally adjusted building approvals fell 6.4 per cent in October, with Victoria (-24.7pc) and New South Wales (-20.6pc) showing the largest declines.
WA building approvals grew by 28 per cent, bucking the six per cent decline observed nationally.
