The strong response to the State Government’s Building Bonus grant has seen $30 million in additional funding being announced, taking the total investment in the program to $147 million.
Grants of $20,000 are available to any home buyer who wishes to build a new house or purchase a new property in a single-tier development (such as a townhouse) prior to completion of construction.
Demand has been high, with 283 applications submitted, 96 approved and $1.92 million paid out to date.
