EnviroDevelopment

EnviroDevelopment is a scientifically based branding system designed to make it easier for purchasers to recognise and thereby select more environmentally sustainable homes and lifestyles.

Certified developments will have been carefully designed to protect the environment and use resources responsibly, whilst offering a range of benefits to homeowners, industry and government. These developments are entitled to advertise their achievements by displaying a range of EnviroDevelopment icons (below).

EnviroDev

EnviroDevelopment is performance based and applicable to a diverse range of development types and situations. It covers the broad spectrum of environment and sustainability issues from the initial conceptual stages of development, with elements devoted to ecosystems, water, energy, waste, materials and community. EnviroDevelopment is designed to draw on the breadth of available scientific knowledge and to unite sectors towards the enhanced sustainability of our future urban areas.

The primary task of the EnviroDevelopment Board of Management WA is to determine the appropriateness of applications received for certification to the EnviroDevelopment standards.
